The Doodys: May 2010

Wow

Ok, I am all caught up with pictures and it's half way through May and I don't have any pictures so I guess I need to take a some! Bjorn is up in Oregeon for Chad's wedding. I think he is having fun, he usually does when he is with the guys. I will be glad when he gets back on Sunday. I've been staying up too late and this has made me realize that I have to be better about blogging and writing more instead of just posting pictures. There are so many things to write about.

So, since I haven't posted in so long all the new ones won't show up on one page so make sure you go back if you want to see all of them. Going to bed now.

Valero Family Center Fiesta Parade

Every year the daycare has a Fiesta parade. It is fun to watch all of the kids they come in spurts that's for sure, good thing they don't have to go very far or I can only imagine how that would turn out!

Evidently after this picture he had a melt down. He knew his pop was there, but did know where he was. Evidently by the time Pop got back to his room he was in complete melt down. Him and his Pop.

TPC-San Antonio

Because Valero is the major sponsor of the Texas Open I was able to take 3 friends and play the new TPC course (for a small fee of course) so I took the day off to go play. Well, actually I didn't play, heck I didn't even drive the cart that much I spent the day ejoying the beautiful area. It is a beautiful area and the hotel looks really nice, but for what they charge it should be. Isn't it beautiful!

Mom's Weekend

So the weekend of the 16 and 17 of April Maria and I rented a condo on Lake LBJ. We left work Friday afternoon and didn't come home until Sunday. We had such a relaxful time. We had great views of the lake from our balcony, and there was a mom duck with a nest of about 10 eggs so it was fun to watch her. We loved our condo and would love to back. I slept a BUNCH it was just what two working mom's need.

Just writing about this weekend makes me feel relaxed. And when I got home I was so happy to see my guys and I think they were pretty happy that I was back home.

Week of the Young Child

Mid-April the daycare celebrated the week of the young child. I think it is some national thing. They had theme days like bubble day and then one day was baseball cap day and one day was costume day. Luckly the Nemo costume from October still fit and of course he still looked super cute in in. However, he would not wear his cap, but he will wear a cowboy hat.

Pub Crawl

In order to try and win parents of the year Bjorn and I took Gavin to a pub crawl. OK, we didn't go to more than one bar, and we only stayed outside-- but this is a biker bar. Yes a realy biker bar. I am sure my parenting award is in the mail! Gavin had a blast running around, looking at the big truck and spinning with Megan. The weather was so nice that evening and by the end of the night Gavin was TIRED!

Easter Sunday

We had such a nice easter. LaLa, Pop, GG, Aunt Tina, Uncle Frank, Uncle Mike, Josh, Heather and us all had lunch. Gavin almost fell asleep at the table- playing with his cousin is hard work. Gavin didn't make it to the afternoon egg hunt.

Easter Nest 2010

Like all good little German kids Gavin made an Easter nest. We picked flowers with LaLa and Pop and then later LaLa came over and we made the nest.

April Fool's Day

I sent Bjorn an email that I bought ten pair of yellow box sandals because they were half price, all he said was OK. When did he get start allowing this? I really should have gone to get them! Then he would have actually been mad.

Palm Sunday 3-28

Palm Sunday we did an Easter egg hunt since Grandma and Grandpa Doody wouldn't be able to be here Easter Sunday. Gavin did really good and liked finding cars inside! Sorry there are so many pictures there were just too many cute ones. I think he could be a model but I'm very biased.
