Red, White and Blue (7-2-10)

Today is Red, White and Blue day at Gavin's school.  He loves running under the streamers in the hallway.  He says "Me under!"  He fell asleep on the way to school which usually means a grumpy boy at drop off, but today he was happy because he was looking at the decorations and getting his picture taken (which he really likes).  Happy Fourth of July everybody!

I am looking forward to a long weekend and doing a few fun things.  Hope everybody has a fun and safe Fouth of July!

Happy 2nd Birthday Gavin!

Well, my little baby is now 2 years old!  I look back at my old posts and can't beleive how much he had changed.  He is such a smart and sweet little boy (most of the time).  He wakes up a little grumpy most mornings, which is a lot like his mom.  He rides his trike really good, he can get going really fast.  He likes ice cream and mac and cheese.  He loves to drive his buggy at Pop and LaLa's.  When you ask him how old are you he says "two five"  we have no idea where he got this from, but it is really cute.  Your mom and dad love you so much!  Happy 2nd birthday!

We had a small family gathering at the park in Cibolo with pizza and elmo cake.  He got lots of toys and he had a lot of fun playing with the other kids.  There are a lot of pictures below so be warned!

First Trip to the Beach

The weekend before Gavin's birthday we took him to Port Aransas for the weekend.  He had a lot of fun, although we didn't get in the ocean because the seaweed was HORRIBLE!  We spent a lot of time at the pool and he has no fear.  He wants to go under and swim, but because of the tube in his ear, we still tried to be very cautious.  Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

We had a photo session with A Leigh Photography and once I get those pictures I will post them too.  She always does such a great job, so I am waiting to see them.

Gavin slept really well the whole time we were there and took really good naps swimming and keeping up with Owen really took it out of him.  Our weekend away really made me ready for another vacation!

Mother's Day 5-9-10

These pictures are about a month late!  We had Mother's Day brunch with my  mom, dad, GG, Frank, Tina, Owen, Aunty Cindy, Aunt Lynda, Richard, Jessica and Uncle Mike cooked!!!  Ok, well he didn't make the whole breakfast, but he was helping out at the Elk's Lodge where we ate.  We had never done this before, but all of the mom's really liked not having to cook!  On the way we stopped by a field of yellow flowers to get a few pictures of Gavin.  It was really pretty with all the yellow flowers!

OK, I can't beleive I am going to put this picture up because I look horrible, but I wanted to put up a picture of me and my sweet boy on Mother's Day.  I love my boy he is so sweet.

Splash Day! 5-28-10

Gavin's school has water play areas for the kids and last Friday they had the kick-off to summer water play days.  Here is him playing with his friends.  Also, we had an AWESOME Memorial Day weekend, which I will write more about later.
