Backwards day (1-31-11) Pictures

Isn't this just cute?

Backwards day (1-31-11)

Today is backwards day and Gavin looked so cute and I even brought my memory card to work, but of course my card reader is at home!  So, I'll post the pictures soon.  This weekend I cleaned out my pantry and thought- wouldn't it be fun to do before and after photos- however, I thought of this AFTER I had taken pretty much everything out of my pantry!  But I will say my pantry looks great!  It feels good that at least part of my house is organized, too bad it's the only part.  Oh well, the life of a working mom.  Speaking of I have been working my a$$ off the last little bit.  Today is bonus payday and I was the lead on the process and nobody really understands what it takes to get bonuses administered and paid to about 10,000 employees, unless you work in comp with me:)  So, I am glad that is over!  However, many more projects are waiting- including cleaning my desk which is currently a complete disaster.  Enough about work.

Since Bjorn was on call this weekend we didn't do much else.  Gavin did get a new rope from his Pop and got to play with his cousin Owen so he had a good weekend.  Now the count down is on for our road trip to Colorado!

Going to be a busy, yet productive week!

Cooking School (1-15-11)

For one of my dear friends birthday he got her a cooking class at the CIA in San Antonio, and I was lucky enough to get to join her.  The class focused on soup.  It was SO MUCH FUN!  It was a really neat experince and my french onion soup turned out great (it's one of my favorites!)

All of the soups when we were done:

My French Onion soup with cheese topped toast- yummy!

Me and Maria looking very cute in our chef hats!

What a fun day!  I was so glad I got to help Maria celebrate her birthday!

Cotton Bowl (1-7-11)

So the Fightin' Texas Aggies played in the 75th Cotton Bowl last Friday so Gavin was ready for game when he went to school!  The game didn't have the outcome I was hoping for, but they came a long way since the beginning of the season.  Hopefully next season will be even better!!  And even thought we didn't win we still had a better bowl game than tu. Oh wait that's right they didn't make it to one;-)  Speaking of, our friends the Masons are tu fans, but since the Aggies beat up on the Longhorns Thanksgiving I talked them into letting Alex wear on of Gavin's jerseys for the Cotton Bowl.  However she must have put the hex on them and is no longer allowed to wear A&M clothing- that is until the day that she is smarter than her parents and realizes that Texas A&M is a far superior school and chooses to go to school there.  (Please note this is all in jest as Alex's parents are really smart people, well, except for the liking tu thing.)

A rare picture of myself! I'm actually surprised at myself that I'm posting these, but Gavin looks so cute.

Looking forward to the next football season!  Gig'em Aggies!

Christmas is Over (1-2-11)

This weekend we took down most of the Christmas Decorations.  Gavin kept asking "Why are you taking my trees down?"  He really doesn't understand that Christmas is over, he's still asking if we can listen to Rudoph the Red Nose Reindeer and since I listened to it over 1,000 times over the last month- I am done!

Rufus was interested in the boxes this weekend:

Sombody else thought it was funny so they wanted to try it too:

Yesterday when we got home bjorn had taken down on all the outside lights.  Gavin REALLY didn't understand that.  So, we had to explain that Santa's elves came and took them down for us since Christmas was over- Bjorn in an elf suit now that would be funny.

Hope everybody's week is going well!
