A couple of weeks ago we took Gavin to Belview, MN to meet his Great Grandma Bjorndahl. It was so good to see her and that she is doing so GREAT at 92! She still live at home by herself and gets put to play cards with her friend who is 94 and just as with it!! Those 2 must have some great genes. We stayed at Jackpot Junction Casino (our room was nice and of course I forgot AGAIN to take Gavin's picture). We left San Antonio very early and Gavin slept the whole 2.5 hour flight. The flight crew was so nice and when we landed they took him into the cockpit and he loved it. He wanted to push the buttons and he got a little up set when we had to get out. That was really nice, b/c so many airline employees aren't very friendly. We then drove the 2 hours out to Morton/Redwood Falls where we were staying and again, Gavin slept the whole way. We got checked in and then drove to see Great Grandma Bjorndahl. She seemed very exited to see Bjorn and to meet Gavin. We got a 4 generation picture so that was nice. Friday night Old Sod Days kicked off with a hamburger cookout at the American Legion and 2 of Janet's sisters came so Gavin got to meet his Great Aunts Bonnie and Jill. Bjorn's cousin James and his little boy, Gage, came by as well. Saturday was the big excitement in Belview. We walked around town for a little while, then we went to see a couple of Grandma Bjorndahls quilts that were on display. Followed by a parade. I have never seen so much candy thrown out at a parade EVER-- each kid left with a wal-mart bag full. We hung out in the yard most of the day visiting and 2 of Bjorn's other cousins came by. Jeremy, who works in Belview, and his cousin Jenny. She brought her new baby Sawyer by-- he is super cute and he seemed really happy. So not only did Gavin get to meet his Great Grandma, but he also got to meet Great Aunts and lots of cousins. We finished off our weekend with a fundraiser breakfast in Oden hall with Pancakes and sausage. Then for us it was back to Texas and again Gavin slept the whole way from Belview to the airport and the whole flight home. He was such a good little traveler this trip!!
Oops, I almost forgot. They were having a raffle to raise money for something (I can't remember what) and I won. I won second place, which was 2 beautiful, handmade wooden Adirondack chairs. Which are now stored in Grandma Bjorndahl's garage until Mike and Janet are able to get them down to us sometime next summer.

We hope to get to visit Belview again during Old Sod Days, it was a lot of fun.
I also realized that it is much easier to write this if I do them more frequently- then I can remember more!
Happy reading.
