Well, as you can see we have been doing a lot of traveling and Sept 11th we took Gavin on his first road trip to see Crazy Uncle Derrick. We left late on Friday night and he slept pretty much the whole way! He also got to spend his first night in a hotel room, but like usual I forgot to take a picture. Saturday morning we all slept in late which was nice. We then we all spent some time with Uncle Derrick and then I headed off to the bridal shower for Uncle Derrick finance, Tiffany. It was so nice and yummy food and you should have seen the cake, it was BEAUTIFUL and delicious. Then went back to say hi to the boys and get ready for the bachelorette dinner and party. Derrick and Bjorn took Gavin to Bass Pro Shop while I was at the shower and they had lots of fun, until Gavin found the stairs. I headed out for some fun with the girls and they guys stayed in and just hung out. We got on the road around 10 Sunday morning for the long drive back. Gavin slept until Hillsboro then we got out at what is left of their outlet malls and Gavin ran around a lot to get some of his energy out! He had a grilled cheese sandwich and then back in the car, and lucky us he fell asleep again!!! Right around Buda he woke up and so we stopped at the Cabela's-that place is amazing. We walked around for an hour just looking at all of the animals they have on display as well as the fish tank. Then back on the road again to finally get home. We must have set the record for longest time ever from Dallas to Schertz: we left at 10am and didn't get home until 6pm (we had to stop in New Braunfels to get Mannie).
