The Cutest Pumpkins
Last Sunday we met my cousins Frank, Tina and Owen and my Aunt Cindy at the pumpkin patch at the church in Bracken. Here are a couple of pictures from our visit.

So here is what else is going on: Rufus our cat was really sick earlier this week, but seems back to his old self. We also had to take Mannie to an eye doctor and everything came back good. Gavin had his 4 month check up on Tuesday. He got 3 shots and one oral vaccine. He cried big tears:-( It made his mom and dad sad. He felt fine the rest of the day. Gavin has also figured out to roll from his back to his stomach, sometimes he can roll from his stomach to his back. But, sometimes he gets "stuck" on his stomach and he throws a little fit! I need to see if I can catch him rolling over on my video camera so I can post that. And of course Bjorn and I have been going to work. I wish I had time to post more frequently, but time is someting I don't have much of these days!

Clinton R. Ludwig
The good ones don’t always die young. On Thursday, October 10th my great Uncle Clinton passed away at the age of 88. This is a picture of him holding Gavin in the hospital, he was so excited about Gavin being the 6th generation born in Comal County.

The things I will remember most about Uncle Clinton will be: playing put-put golf and then him driving us to Dairy Queen in the bed of his truck, what his hair felt like after a fresh hair cut, buying us all underoos (all kids from the 80’s should know what I’m talking about) for us when we were kids and his signature bow-tie. But mostly I will remember him every Thanksgiving as we always played Skip-bo after eating. For those of you who have ever been at our house during these games know how loud things could get. When Aunt Izzy was still around they would always be partners and these two would cheat worse than anybody could imagine, but of course they would say “that’s not cheating”. It is always what made our games so much fun. Actually, we all cheat and then sit around and talk (really loudly) about everybody else cheating. The tradition will continue on as we have our next generation of Skip-bo players.
This post is dedicated to the life of Clinton R. Ludwig and the full and wonderful life he lead. He will be missed.
