New Class (Aug 30)

Today was the first day I dropped Gavin off in his new classroom.  Last week he was transitioned into his new room.  He did REALLY good.  His favorite thing about his new room is that they have a scooter.  I have a feeling it might be on his list from Santa this year!  I took his picture, kind of like it was his "first day of school".  I can't beleive how big he is getting!

Yes it is still dark when I took this picture, but we get to school before 7am.

Pfeuffer Family Reunion (Aug 28)

On Saturday was the Pfeuffer Family Reunion.  Gavin had a BLAST he ran around a lot with his cousins.  They have so much energy.  I was so excited to get a picture of all the cousins, including the only girl cousin Camila.  She was so calm and quite compared to the loud wild boys!

The Island on Lake Travis (Aug 20-22)

What a great weekend!  Bjorn, Gavin and I went to a place called the Island on Lake Travis, which is in Lago Vista, TX (between Austin and Marble Falls).  This place was really nice.  We rented a unit from Rentals on Lake Travis.  The grounds were beautiful, the views were beautiful, and they had 2 nice pools that were saline (not chlorine).   The unit we had was also very beautiful and had a huge balcony.  We will be going back!  I really like that it was a resort type feel, but relaxed too.  Everybody takes their own coolers and snacks to the pool.  I just can't say enough about what a nice relaxing time we had.  I took quite a few pictures, but still didn't get enough (like of G in the pool).  Oh if you ever do go, take your own food to cook, there weren't many restaurants around and even the ones that were "close" were still a bit of a drive.

On the way home we stopped in Blanco to see my Aunt Cindy and Don's house.  They are really excited about it.  They have a beautiful kitchen and are going to have a nice BBQ area in the backyard.  Their house is VERY Eco-friendly and has solar panels, water retention system, etc.  They also plan on doing a lot of gardening, so I can't wait to see what it looks like when they are all done.  We needed to pick up my car in NB and get Mannie so Bjorn and I went and had dinner while my parents watched Gavin.  It really was such a nice family weekend and I can't wait to do it again.  Reality hit hard this morning when the alarm went off at 5!

On a different subject, my dad had an angio done this morning and he had 85% blockage in one, so they put a stint in on the spot.  He has several others that were at 50% blockage and he will go back in a few months to have it done again and they will decide what to do then.  But he is doing good. 

Tomorrow night I have bunco and this weekend we have a family reunion and Bjorn is on-call.  There is always something going on around our house!

Sprirt Week (Friday 8-20 Costume Day)

Today is his last full day in his classroom.  Monday he will begin the transition to his new classroom.  I think it's harder for me than for him.  I will miss his teachers so much, they are all so wonderful the do a great job!

This weekend Bjorn and I are taking him to Lake Travis for the weekend, so I'll have lots of pictures next week!

Sprirt Week (Thursday 8-19 PJ Day)

Today is PJ day at school.  Gavin wanted to wear his with the truck on it.  Isn't he just so cute.  You can tell he doesn't feel his best though, because he has been a little grumpy in the morning the last few days.

What a cute smile and happy face.  I also really like it becuase this is the chair that he sits in almost every morning and I read him 2 books before I go to work.  Looking at this picture makes me smile- BIG.

In just a few mintues I am headed to go meet his new teacher.  He will be transitioning to a new classroom next week.  I'm not sure who it will be harder for- me or him.  I absoultly LOVE his teachers right now.  Each one of them is so amazing.  I really am going to miss them. 

On a side note, the massage therapist we have at work does foot massages!  I got one before lunch and all I can say is AWESOME.  He is great anyways, but knowing this I don't think I'll ever go to a spa again-- you just can't beat Wayne.

Sprirt Week (Wednesday 8-18 Mis-match day)

No picture from yesterday since Gavin was at home with a Bjorn.  He took him to the Dr. and he has an ear infection.

Sprirt Week (Tuesday 8-17 Wild Hair)

This kid's hair is too fine and too long!  It would just fall over when I "styled" it.  He was grumpy again this morning (I wouldn't know where he would get that from)!

As you can see by the time we got to school there wasn't much left of his "wild hair".
