PJ Day 10-30-09

Today is the last day of the theme week at day care.  Gavin wore his pumkin PJ's and looks so cute, but man is he hard to take a picture of since he is moving all the time!

Crazy Hat Day 10-29-09

Today was crazy hat day.  Of couse he looked cute again!

He always makes such funny faces when I am trying to take his picutre!!

Orange Day 10-28-09

Today was orange day at school.  Don't they know his mom likes maroon not ugly orange (although he looks cute in his orange spider shrit)!!!

Also my camera that I've only had a year and a half died to day.  It really put me in a bad mood.  Why doesn't any camera I ever buy last?  I bought a "top of the line" last time this time I'm going- cheap cheap cheap!

Wild Hair Day 10-27-09

Today is wild hair day at day care.  Isn't he cute?

Other things my smart little boy can do now:

• give a high 5
• knock on the door (a a real knock, not banging)
• give really good hugs

Then last night right at 8 he finished reading a book with his dad, got off his lap, walked towards the bedroom and waved, because he was going to bed.  It was so cute!  He went to sleep at 8 and slept right until 5 and this was the second day in a row-- yeah.  Except since we having a time change this weekend I am sure he will be all off schedule again.

Wonderful Fall weekend

We had a really great weekend! It started with a girl's dinner out Friday night for my friend's 30th birthday. We went to Liberty Bar, which is in a really neat old building in downtown SA that leans-- I mean it really leans. Although I'm not sure if I would call it dinner since we didn't go until 8:30 and I didn't get home until 11-- that's going out for me since 8:30 is normally my bed time!!!!!

Then Saturday morning we met Uncle Frank, Aunt Tina and cousin Owen at the pumpkin patch in Cibolo. It was really nice. We took a hay ride, rode in a "train" that was pulled by a lawn mower, played with pumpkins, saw goats, chickens and calves and took pictures. The boys really liked it. Tina said Owen really liked painting the pumpkin, but we had already left because my little pumpkin was tired. He fell asleep quickly when we got in the car- actually we were in my old red truck; Gavin loves to ride in it. That afternoon we just ran a few errands.

We had dinner at my parents and then we went to Billy's Ice in New Braunfels to continue celebrating Megan's birthday. Bjorn gave her a very special birthday gift- her dog's testicles. Yes I said her dog's testicles. About 8 months or so ago Bjorn neutered her dog and he saved them for this special occasion! I have never seen such a reaction from a birthday gift. She laughed so hard she cried it was so funny.

Sunday morning Gavin "slept in" until 5:45! We ran a few errands in the morning, nothing too exciting. Then about noon we met our friends at the zoo. It really was such a nice day for it and San Antonio does have a nice zoo. Both of the kids really seemed to enjoy it and so did the parents. We were there for a little over 2 hours and Gavin was worn out when we were done. He was asleep before we were out of the parking lot and even stayed asleep when I put him in his bed and then managed to stay asleep until 5:30. Mom and Dad even got to take a little nap!

We played and read books until it was bed time and right on schedule Gavin was asleep at 8. The best part is he slept until 5, and normally he's been waking up a 4, so my week is off to a great start!


This week the day care is having a "theme day" so I will try to post a picture of each day. Today was crazy sock day (10-26-09).  These socks aren't that crazy, but the best that I could do.

Wow, I don't think I have ever actually written this much, usually I just end up posting a bunch of pictures.

New Class!

Gavin is in a new classroom at daycare.  Last Tuesday (Oct 13) he started his transisitnon to the toddler room and on Monday (Oct 19) he spent his whole first day there.  He seems to be doing really well and I think he really likes all the new things he gets to do.  They spend a lot of time outside and they have little cars for him to ride, so he loves that.  They even have a sandbox for him to play with IN THE ROOM!  I forgot to take picutures of him on his first day in his new class, but I remembered to take them the 2nd day.

Yes that is a big gash on his nose, he got it last weekend pulling a tractor off the shelf at the feed store. He loves anything that has wheels, but especially big trucks and tractors.

I recently purchased the digital images to Gavin's newborn photos I had taken.  They were taken when he was 3 weeks ago.  I can't beleive how much he has changed in the last 16 months!  He is just amazing!!!!
